While writing news for British Racing Green has been enjoyable for the last few months it is something that I cannot give my full attention to at the moment so I will no longer be publishing news articles on the site. Results for the weekend of the 26th to the 27th May 2018.
Lewis Hamilton finished in third place after starting third in Monaco in a largely processional race. With Vettel finishing in second Hamilton had his championship lead reduced by three points.
Update: Norris was deemed to unfairly gained an advantage under the VSC and was given a time penalty that has dropped him to third.
Lando Norris extended his championship lead with a fine second place in the Formula 2 sprint race in Monaco. Both ART drivers failed to finish the race with George Russell crashing out for the second consecutive race.
A chaotic Formula 2 feature race in the principality of Monaco saw championship leader Norris start on the penultimate row of the grid before having to serve a drive-through penalty after contact with Boshong to then finishing in 6th place.

Six-time Indy 500 competitor Pippa Mann failed to qualify for the 2018 running of the world-famous race. 35 cars went into ‘bump’ day yesterday looking to be one of the 33 drivers to race next Sunday. Mann tried three times to get out of the bottom two but ended up 35th and the slowest of the drivers and will not compete in this years Indy 500.
Oliver Turvey equalled his best qualifying position on this season with a fine lap to claim a second place grid slot at the Berlin ePrix. He would slip down to finish 5th after battling for the podium throughout the race with championship contender Sam Bird only managing a 7th place finish.
Former GP3 race winner Dean Stoneman has been dropped from the Manor LMP1 team. Stoneman was due to race at the season opener at Spa until the team had to withdraw with financial issues. After that, the second Manor car that Stoneman would be driving was in doubt for Le Mans but Manor will now enter two cars.
